Brixton Advice Centre is a dynamic, independent advice centre based in London. We provide Housing and Community Care legal aid services and hold the Specialist Quality Mark in both areas of law. In addition, we provide specialist advice services in Debt/Money Advice and Welfare Benefits, along with a range of other generalist, outreach and project services

What we are looking for

We have two vacancies and are seeking a full-time Debt Adviser and a full-time Welfare Benefits Adviser to join our friendly and hard-working team to ensure the ongoing successful delivery of our specialist services

What you can expect

You will join a small, friendly and supportive team of staff and volunteers dedicated to providing high-quality advice services to people who live or work in Lambeth, London. You will receive remuneration of £29,000 per year (including ILW). The post attracts 25 days annual leave in addition to Bank and Public Holidays and an occupational pension

About you

Whichever post you are applying for, you are a driven and enthusiastic adviser with experience of a broad range of advice strategies that can be used to get the best results for your clients. Ideally, you will have some supervisory experience but, if not, this will be a perfect opportunity to explore and gain and develop supervisory skills in a supported environment
