Online Legal Clinic

Fill out the form below to access legal advice provided by our volunteer legal professionals

The Clinic is an extension of our evening pro bono advice clinic. It is in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and it allows our volunteer legal professionals to continue helping Lambeth residents with the legal issues that are affecting their lives

Your query will be dealt with by a trained lawyer who will assist you on behalf of Brixton Advice Centre. There will be no charge for the help you receive. We will typically provide you with a short piece of legal advice e.g. a 20 minute telephone or Skype/Zoom call, and a written summary of the advice you were given with recommendations for any next steps you should take

Once your query has been dealt with, we would be grateful if you would complete our anonymous feedback and demographic information form. A link will be sent to you once your query has been dealt with. This helps us to improve the service and understand the various impacts of legal issues in Lambeth, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic

The most common issues we get asked for help with are:

  • family law matters
  • employment and work
  • housing disputes
  • litigation and court procedures
  • consumer and general contract
  • human rights and responsibilities
  • general legal matters

We can only provide advice to individuals, not businesses. We cannot provide immigration advice

You can find information on our other services, including debt and welfare benefits, by clicking here

To access the Online Clinic, please complete the form below and one of our legal team will get back to you when they become available

Please note: this is a trial service and is subject to change. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to deal with every question submitted to the Clinic but we will do our best. Please do not submit requests for assistance with urgent matters; there are other sources of legal assistance you should approach if the matter is urgent, such as those on our home page or through the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor portal. We are grateful to the Walcot Foundation and London Funders for supporting the development of the Clinic. If you want to support us and help cover our costs you can make a small donation or contact us through our Contact Form
