Brixton Advice Centre is a dynamic, independent advice centre based in London. Our core specialist services are in Housing, Benefits and Debt advice. In addition, we provide an evening pro bono legal advice clinic staffed by local solicitors and barristers, which advises on issues including Crime, Family, Employment and general litigation matters. We also provide a range of other generalist, outreach and project services
We hold Lexcel, the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark
What we are looking for
We are seeking a full-time Benefits Adviser to provide casework services to our client groups from our main site on Railton Road, Brixton. You will join our friendly and hard-working team to ensure the ongoing successful delivery of our specialist services
What you can expect
You will join a small, friendly and supportive team of staff and volunteers dedicated to providing high-quality advice services to people who live or work in Lambeth, London. You will receive remuneration to £29,000 per year dependent on experience and performance. The post attracts an occupational pension and 25 days annual leave in addition to Bank and Public Holidays

You are a driven and enthusiastic adviser with experience of a broad range of advice strategies that can be used to get the best results for your clients
